Frequently Asked Questions

Welcome to our FAQ page. We’ve compiled a list of common questions and answers to help you better understand our fee schedule conversion service. If you have a question that isn’t answered here, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

What is the purpose of this service?

Our fee schedule conversion service is a tool that helps dental offices convert insurance fee schedules into a format that can be easily uploaded into their practice management software. This saves time and eliminates the need for manual fee entry.

How does the service work?

Our service is easy to use. Simply create an account, upload your insurance fee schedules as pdf files, and our cloud-based software will automatically analyze and extract the relevant data to a file that can be downloaded and imported into your dental office management software. After converting the fee schedule, a preview of the result is provided. If you are happy with the result, you can use a credit to purchase the downloadable files.

What file format does the conversion provide?

Our software will generate a file with only two columns: the codes and fees. The file will be available for download in CSV. This format is the most commonly used, but Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets can be used to convert to other filetypes such as, Excel, TXT, and XML as needed.

What types of insurance fee schedules do you support?

Dental Fees (CDT)

Our algorithm is trained to identify current CDT codes and the corresponding fees. We support a wide range of dental insurance fee schedules, including Delta Dental, Cigna, Aetna, MetLife, and more. The algorithm works best for pdf fee schedules that have been provided digitally from the insurance company.  Fee schedules that have been scanned from a fax or paper copy will produce varying results depending on the scan quality.

Medical Fees

We do not yet support medical fee schedules, but plan to implement this feature in the future.  If you have a need for this service for medical fee schedules, please message us with the name of your software, the needed file type, and the medical coding classification system.

How much does your service cost?

A: Our fee schedule conversion service is $25.00 per fee schedule with volume discounts available. There are no subscription fees or recurring charges. Users can purchase credits that can be used at any time to convert new fee schedules. See the pricing page for more details.

Will this work with my dental software?

Most major dental and medical practice management software programs allow users to directly upload fee schedules from a properly formatted file. This includes, but is not limited to, Dentrix, Opendental, and Curve Hero. Please check your specific practice management software for this functionality before using the conversion service.

Can I try a demo fee schedule?

Yes, after signing up and logging in, you can upload your fee schedules and our service will convert them and output the result as a full preview with a searchable table to check for accuracy. If you are happy with the result, you can purchase and use a credit to download the converted CSV file.  If the result is incomplete or inaccurate, you can close the preview without purchasing and provide feedback. We will review the file and try to improve our algorithm for a better conversion.
